IDEM Living are looking to recruit a Registered Manager for our Children’s Home in Exeter, Devon.

Our Employee Retention figures are approx 80% and we are close to our target of a 100% Qualified (Elite) workforce.

We are looking for a unique person who has the passion, drive and skills to lead and manage our home.

You will have experience at management level and will be able to demonstrate your knowledge of the management and leadership of teams working with children and young people with emotional, behavioural and mental health problems. You will understand the challenges of ensuring that the home is compliant in relation to Ofsted inspections and is able to demonstrate the effectiveness of our approach in relation to overall outcomes for the children living in the home. You will have previous demonstrable evidence of achieving good outcomes with Ofsted..

You will either be qualified at level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management or working towards this and be committed to further learning and development.

Your ability to communicate effectively in a multi professional environment is essential alongside the ability to inspire as a leader. You will have the opportunity to shape the service strategically and to play a role as part of the overall management team in developing practice.

The Directors and senior management team at IDEM living are experienced managers and practitioners and understand the value of creating a supportive environment for the staff team to develop and grow. To this aim we provide extensive training opportunities and continual professional development. We provide external clinical support and supervision to our teams that aims to develop both the individual and the wider service delivery.

50% of our Children’s Home Managers were promoted from within and 83% of our Adult Senior Support Workers.
